From the makers of Travel Genius and Arcade Park the wonderful HeroCraft
gave me the opportunity to review Twice already posted by our great leader m@rtyn here - http://www.xdasite.com/showthread.php?t=2221 but he never played it and although it was first out in 2007 I think this gem of a game needs reprising. From the smooth animations to the brilliant simplistic gamepolay this one will have you hooked. It not 'Go Fish' it's not 'Pairs' or the myriad of other titles you might connect with a game of this type.
Brandon Miniman from PocketNow.com reviews the two devices and gives his personal opinion. As both devices run nearly the same software (though the Diamond 2 has a newer version of TF3D), this is mainly a hardware reveiw. None-the-less, very interesting and helpful if you are thinking about your next phone.
There's one thing that we Brits know how to talk about..... the weather. No matter who you get talking to, at some point you're bound to get around to talking about the weather. Especially at the moment, with the roller-coaster ride we are having with the weather.
So if you are wanting to stay up to date with what the weather has in store for us over the next 10 days, there is a smart small solution from Elecont. It's not a new application, but it has just recently been up-dated, with the addition of a barometer function. And it takes up virtually no room at all. So if you are a bit pushed for memory space on your phone, you'll have no problem finding room for this wee app. The download file is only 1.5Mb!
For a long time, I have been an advocate of the theory that the only software that you HAVE to have on your Windows phone is SPBs' Mobile Shell 2. Well, that theory has just gone out the window with the introduction of SPB Mobile Shell 3.0. This is the User Interface that Microsoft should have come up with. It is light-years ahead of it's own ancestor. The launch of 3.0 was postponed a month, it was due out at the end of March, but the wait was worth it. SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 is, simply said, stunning! I am blown away by the graphics that leave nothing wanting and the fact that it is wickedly fast even on an "old" phone like the Artemis.... [Read More]
Here I am again folks with another title from the HeroCraft stable. Travel Genius, a simplistic and easy to play geographical game encompassing just about anything that can be pin-pointed on a map.
I'd like to thank Alexander Polukord from HeroCraft straight away for letting me review this title. When he emailed me asking if I'd like to try this title out I was...well a little underwhelmed. This of course has nothing to do with the game oh no, it was me...flashbacks from school and how diabolically rubbish at Greography I was and infact still am. But I figured ' Well if it can help an old duffer like me to improve, well that can't be no bad thing, right? '. So here I am and here it is.
That's my current state of mind and I challenge everyone on XdaSite who own a phone with an accelerometer to buy this game get past level mumble mumble... and rub my face in it.
So what is it? Well it's a simple addictive and infuriating game that definitely has that one more go-ability about it. It's been around for a while now and so far when it comes to the G-Sensor there's nothing else that comes close.
It doesn't have tinkly music, it doesn't have any music, you don't have 3 or 5 lives, it doesn't try to be something it's not. You don't need music, cos trust me after being stuck on level 48 for 3... [Read More]
