Selling like hot cakes in the US, it has now been confirmed that the Palm Pre will be arriving in Europe before Christmas 2009. And it looks like O2 has snapped up the rights to sell it throughout Europe.

Features of the Pre include:
Palm Pre
3G EVDO
3.1″ touch screen (320×480 pixels) display
Slide-out QWERTY keyboard
GPS built-in
Ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and proximity sensor
Wi-Fi 802.11b/g
8GB internal storage
Bluetooth

Possible the most innovative part of the Pre is in fact not a part of the Pre itself (sounds silly, is so). Meet the TouchStone.....

This is the very innovative, wireless battery charger for the Pre. TouchStone is plugged to the wall socket like any other charger. But from there on, this is in a class of its own. Place the Pre on the TouchStone and the charging begins. Magnets align and hold the Pre in place. Whilst charging, the Pre is totally functional as with any other phone in its cradle. The only let down is that the TouchStone is not the standard charger that comes with the Pre, so if you want one, you have to buy it as an extra.
