Press Release.
![]() November 24th, 2009 - SPB Software, a leading maker of mobile applications, announces the release of SPB Time 3.0, a major update to the best-selling Windows Mobile time toolset. The updated version offers a completely new, reconsidered user interface and significantly improved alarm features. SPB Time 3.0 provides user with three different types of alarms to fit any needs. Paranoid alarm is designed to wake up deep sleepers while Bio alarm does its job in a very gentle way. Classic alarm is a good solution for those who don't believe in biorhythms and do not want to be disturbed too much in the morning time. A lot of features were reworked in the design aspect. For example, "World Time" feature is presented as a realistic looking 3D model of the Earth with chosen cities designated as spots on the surface. Countdown screen is supplemented with a picture of sandglass where the sand pours out as time goes. The splendour of these interface solutions are accompanied by a vast choice of skins in an online catalog. SPB Time 3.0 is also one of the company's Windows Mobile applications that is able to make use of SPB Mobile Shell's widget system. Four widgets are available for those who already have Mobile Shell version 3.5.1 and higher: City Time, Moon Phase, Next Alarm and Stop Watch. ![]() *** SPB Time 3.0 New Features: *** * Snappier, better looking user interface; * Classic, Paranoid and Bio alarms; * More than 20 alarm tunes; * Online skins catalog; * SPB Mobile Shell widgets; * Scrollable Calendar with weeks numbers; * Moon phases. *** Pricing and Availability ** SPB Time 3.0 is compatible with Windows Mobile 5 and higher. It may be purchased for 14.95 USD, or a 15-day free trial version may be downloaded at www.SPBSoftware.com. Users of any previous versions of SPB Time are welcome to upgrade to SPB Time 3.0 with 50% discount. According to SPB Software's upgrades policy, all SPB Time users who have purchased the product within the last 90 days, are eligible for free upgrade. *** Further Information and Downloads *** SPB Time 3.0 download page http://spbsoftware.com/pocketpc-soft.../download.html SPB Time 3.0 screenshots http://spbsoftware.com/pocketpc-soft...reenshots.html |

They all look nice and polished but I have a fundamental problem with buying what is essentially just a clock with alarms and using up memory to do what my phone does well enough already. Of course I can only speak for myself but is there really a need for this kind of app.
So is there anyone out there in PDA land who has this and use it to it's full, are you a globe trotting entrepreneur or businesman who requires this app/widget. Do you have family far flung around the world who you call regularly but can't remember the different time zones? I'd like to hear peoples opinions on this and what you would like to see in a fancy timepiece app/widget for your mobile

There is a certain logic to what you say, but at the end of the day, I am a time geek and cannot get enough clocks. I have about a dozen 3rd party clocks on my phone and on my iPod.
In my current job, we aren't allowed to wear watches and it drives me up the wall not knowing what the time is. So I rely on my phones clock a lot at the moment. So SPB Time 3 is a God-send. There are a lot of free time apps out there that do all that SPB Time 3 does, but not all in one app. And as usual, SPB has done a great job on the UI and graphics. And before you ask, no. I am not on the pay-roll at SPB, I just like the stuff they make. Oh and yes I do have friends & family in several time zones (though the family is not as far away as I might like them to be!). |

Retro clock seems to be a skinnable clock (seems quite old now) - see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344870
I dont see any skins with cogs though. Bill |

Is it me or has the today plugin disappeared? I have time 2.xx for the today plugin.
Tried the trial version and installed after removing 2, the today plugin was still there...but the alarms had disappeared...!! so after messing around for a bit... looks like when I install 3 from fresh the today plugin isn't there.. I do use it for the alarm function and it does have a nice today plugin. but I don't use the timers etc...

Yes that looks nice but I can't get it to work. I assume it's because it works with HTC Home Customizer which I haven't got any more cos I don't need it. But it looks nice thank you m@rtyn.

Opps! Sorry, it's for TouchFLO2D, But maybe SPB will add a similar skin to Time 3. They already have a shed-load of skins which you can download for free.
