Default Resco Photo Manager 7.00 released

Resco has finally released the final version of Photo Manager 7.00. There have been a few beta versions and an alpha version too, doing the rounds, but the wait has ended and the release candidate is finally here.

Resco has always done a wonderful job of making their photo viewer the best on the market (as they also do with making File Explorer the best 3rd party file explorer on the market). And this time they have really pushed the boat out. If you have been using a beta version up to now, you'll no doubt want to give the final version a test too. There is a free 7 day trial version available from Resco HERE.

This is so new that I have not had a chance to test it myself, but I have been using the beta version. And I have to say that I love it! It beats the photo viewer from HTC into a cocked hat.

So, what's new?

Touch Optimized Interface with Handy Gestures
The overall concept of the application has been changed. Now you operate in 3 main
interfaces (browser,
viewer, slideshow). Handling becomes easier and more comfortable with zoom, rotation
and move
gestures.

Quick Image Access
Browser’s home screen offers 4 main image databases (My Documents, Camera Roll,
Favorites, My
Albums). Camera Roll shows only images captured by built-in camera. The rest 3
databases are obvious.

Footprint Support for Devices with GPS Module
Enables adding GPS position to any of the images and make diary of the trip. Such
geo-tagged image can
be located on a map (using Google Maps application). If the application is not
present, online Google Maps
are used instead.

Upload Images to Flickr, Facebook, Picasa or Twitter
Capture images and send them straight to the net. Along with Flickr, the biggest
internet image database,
you can choose among other three popular social networks (Facebook, Picasa or
Twitter) to upload your
photos to.

Interactive Work with Slideshow
You will get ability to move forward, backward or set parameters during the
slideshow itself. Change the
direction, speed (3 levels) and choose among 9 slideshow effects.

It costs $24.95 which is currently £15 or €16.50. So it's not the cheapest on the market. There are free alternatives. But if you want the best, then you need to pay for it. But don't forget, try it before you buy it, with the 7 day free trial from Resco
