Talking Omg!!!!

There I was in a local shopping centre and my eldest asks if he could pop into the charity shop, he's a bit addicted to Lego Bionicles and has discovered the delights of cheap toys a la charity shops, so we go in.

And what did I discover but a gem of an album thus:

It's so bad it's good, and so in that vein are there any of you out there who have or discovered any 'gems' which make you think 'flippin' heck I'm getting old'? Cos I know that's what this did and it's ain't even Jive Bunny....LOL...

I got all the DVDs of Starsky and Hutch from the 70's - every episode and the pilot it was so cheap and Im slowly watching them all, takes me back to Saturday Nights at home on our very modern Colour ITT Tv. Although on the modern DVD format it was still a bargain. But as for authentic old I saw a Six Million Dollar man doll a few months ago - I shoulda bought it it was probably worth a bob or two - afterwards I thought - what the hell was that doing in there? Kicked myself for not buying it! Wasn't very Bionic brain that day!!!

Just ordered the entire series of "UFO" from Amazon. 1248 mins of crispy 70's goodness. And to think that it was set in the futuristic year, 1980

And it is actually going to make a return next year as a feature film in the cinema. http://www.ufo-themovie.com/UFO/Home.html and also http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1443799/ Can't wait!!

And m@rtyn...how cool I'll check IMDB later. Will they redo Prisoner y'think?

I hope not! Would you believe that I only saw "The Prisoner" for the first time about 3 months ago? I found two old videos (episodes 1 & 2 and episodes 4 to 7) in an Oxfam shop in Kassel (first Oxfam shop I've seen in Germany!). So out of interest and because they were in English, I snapped them up. WOW! What I have been missing.

I have been to the village that they used to film the series, Port Merion in North Wales. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

But a remake? Who could possibly replace Patrick McGoohan as #6?

Thanks for the great links Bill. Have added them all to my bookmarks. As for Robinson Crusoe, was that the series that got shown each summer holiday in the 70's? Always ended up watching that too. That and "Flashing Blade"

The greatest Robinson Crusoe ever:

Champion The Wonder Horse was good too:

Ricky and Rebel were just "cool"

As was Flashing Blade, TheWhiteHorses, FollyFoot, Skippy, DoubleDeckers, CaseyJones, TomorrowPeople, NogginTheNog... I could go on! They dont make them like they used to!

Incidentally its pretty easy to turn these into .mp3 ring tones using something like FLVtoMP3 (see http://www.flvtomp3converter.com/)

I'd like to know though if its possible to have a .AVI (or suitable video file) play whenever someone rings.
